☀️ Summer heat is no joke, and your lawn feels it too. The right watering habits can go a long way in helping your grass stay healthy through the hotter months.
💦 1. Water Early, Water Deep
Water your lawn before 10 AM to reduce evaporation and allow moisture to reach deeper into the roots.
🌱 2. Check Soil Moisture
Try the screwdriver test. If it slides easily into the soil, your lawn has enough moisture. If not, it's time to water.
🔄 3. Use the Soak & Cycle Method
Instead of one long watering session, split it into two shorter, consecutive cycles. This helps reduce runoff and gives the soil more time to absorb water.
🌡️ 4. Adjust for Heat Waves
During periods of extreme heat, your lawn may need more frequent watering. Aim for 1 to 1½ inches of water per week, including rainfall.
A little consistency now can help your lawn handle summer heat better!
