🏠 MORE THAN ROOFING — CHIMNEY REBUILD

Sometimes a roofing project reveals other areas of the home that need attention.

On this project, the existing chimney chase was wrapped with Masonite siding that had deteriorated and was falling apart. Instead of simply painting over the problem or putting a temporary fix on it, we rebuilt it with materials designed to provide a much longer-lasting solution.

🏠 MORE THAN ROOFING — FULL-SERVICE HOME RESTORATION

When people hear M&D Roofing, naturally they think roofs. But roofing is only one part of what we do.

On this project, our team was also trusted with the interior painting, including this beautiful living area with tall vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a stone fireplace.

Projects like this require more than showing up with a roller and a bucket of paint. With high ceilings, finished wood beams, furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and personal belongings throughout the home, prep work matters.

🏠 FROM A 2019 INSPECTION TO A COMPLETE 2026 HOME TRANSFORMATION

Sometimes earning a client's business takes time — in this case, almost 7 years.

We originally inspected this home on 10/3/2019 while replacing several other roofs in the community. The insurance adjuster inspected the property, and on 10/29/2019, the homeowners learned their claim had been denied.

Life moved on, and they eventually switched their insurance to State Farm.

But they remembered M&D Roofing.

They had watched us take care of their neighbors and heard about something we do differently — our FREE Class 4 Impact Shingle Upgrade. It's not an upgrade paid for by insurance. M&D Roofing pays the difference for our clients.

Fast-forward to 4/27/2026.

The homeowners noticed a leak and invited us back. We repaired the leak at no charge and, during our inspection, documented hail damage to the roof.

Once the project started, the homeowners also wanted to take the opportunity to refresh the exterior of their home. That's where being a full-service General Contractor makes a difference.

Sometimes the best decision isn't replacing a roof... it's preparing for the next storm.

This homeowner contacted M&D Roofing on 10/27/2025, and Farmers inspected the property just two days later on 10/29/2025.

The insurance company agreed there was storm damage, but only approved a 40-shingle repair. After reviewing the policy, we discovered it was an Actual Cash Value (ACV) policy.

We sat down with the homeowner and discussed every option. Pursuing a full roof replacement under an ACV-only policy simply didn't make financial sense. Sometimes the best advice isn't the biggest project—it's the right project.

So we completed the repair.

But we didn't stop there.

We introduced the homeowner to Chad Page at Goosehead Insurance, who helped them secure a new Replacement Cost Value (RCV) policy, giving them much better protection moving forward.

Then came the April 25, 2026 hailstorm.

This time, the roof sustained enough damage for a full replacement, and thanks to the new policy, the claim was covered correctly.

What started as a repair turned into a complete home transformation.

Sometimes the biggest obstacle to replacing a roof isn't the insurance company... it's simply life.

This homeowner first contacted M&D Roofing on 2/22/2024, and we inspected his home on 2/25/2024. The roof was in poor condition, and we recommended filing a claim.

📅 Adjuster Inspection: 4/23/2024

State Farm approved payment for:
✔️ Turbines
✔️ Gutters
✔️ Window screens

…but not the roof.

Because the roof had reached the end of its life, the homeowner found himself in a difficult position. Other insurance companies wouldn't offer a new policy due to the roof's condition, so changing carriers wasn't an option.

The home also had interior water damage, but at the time he decided not to pursue the next step. We explained that one option would be to have a Public Adjuster review the claim, but we respected his decision.

Over a year later, on 9/17/2025, he called us back.

The leak had become worse, and he was ready to move forward.

We connected him with HCA Claims (Chase Lee Henton & Kimberly Spittler), who inspected the property on 11/1/2025. After working through the claim process, a revised insurance estimate was approved on 4/19/2026.

This homeowner in Farmers Branch, Texas reached out because she had a leaking 3-tab roof and believed her insurance policy included code upgrade coverage that would pay for replacing her decking.

📅 Date of Loss: 3-25-2025
📅 Insurance Inspection: 1-7-2026

Unfortunately, she learned that her policy did not include the code coverage she thought she had. To make matters more frustrating, the carrier's initial estimate was not accurate and did not fully account for the necessary repairs.

Rather than giving up, she connected with HCA Claims to represent her interests and review the scope of work. After five revisions, the claim was finally adjusted appropriately.

With the claim resolved, M&D Roofing worked out a competitive solution that allowed her to upgrade her entire roofing system.

Sometimes helping a homeowner isn't about fighting the insurance company — it's about finding solutions.

A friend referred us to his mom after her home suffered significant wind damage and active leaks on her aging 3-tab roof.

The insurance company inspected the property and agreed that the roof was a total loss. They also covered interior repairs to the family room, stairs, and bathroom. On 5-8-2025, the total estimated repairs came to $16,451.64.

Unfortunately, because of an ACV-only policy and a high deductible, the homeowner received $0 toward the repairs.

That's a tough conversation for any homeowner.

Instead of walking away, M&D Roofing stayed with our client and explored other options. We helped her review financing opportunities from several vendors and ultimately found a solution through HFS - Home Improvement Loans that allowed her to move forward with the project.

On 5-13-2026, more than a year later, we were proud to install her new roof system in Saginaw, Texas.
