🔨 WE’RE HIRING — LEAD CARPENTER 🔨

J Scott Builders is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our residential remodeling team!

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, knows how to lead a job site, and understands that great construction is about more than just building — it’s about quality, communication, and taking care of the client.

What You’ll Do:
🏠 Lead day-to-day construction activities on residential remodeling projects

🔨 Perform framing, structural work, dry rot repair, and finish carpentry

🛠️ Complete door, window, trim, cabinetry and siding installation, and other finish work

👷 Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and other crew members

📋 Read and work from plans, specifications, and project scopes

📅 Help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently

🤝 Serve as an on-site point of contact for homeowners and maintain positive client relationships

🔎 Maintain high standards for quality, cleanliness, safety, and craftsmanship

💡 Troubleshoot construction challenges and find practical solutions

👨‍🏫 Help mentor and lead other carpenters and laborers

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
✔️ Strong residential remodeling experience
✔️ Solid framing and general construction knowledge
✔️ Experience with dry rot and structural repairs
✔️ Strong finish carpentry skills
✔️ Experience managing or supervising subcontractors
✔️ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✔️ Leadership ability and a strong work ethic
✔️ The ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the job
✔️ Their own professional-grade carpentry tools and reliable transportation
✔️ Pride in their work and attention to detail
