To prepare for the start of a new school year, is offering important electrical safety tips. Electricity is all around us, and using it safely is vital. Learn how to properly use electricity when charging your laptop, phone, or other electronics to avoid painful injuries and keep the devices in working order. Before completing homework at home, learn to plug in safely to keep you, your family, and your home safe from electrical hazards. If you have a student heading to a college dorm for the first time, help them to prepare with the cooking safety tips to avoid any preventable accidents in the kitchen.

A Customer’s kids were plugging their phone charger in and the lights shut off and when they unplugged it they turned back on.

We found a loose neutral from a backstab connection that was falling out of the receptacle and the fix was to pigtail the wires together and loop the wire around the terminal and tighten it down! ⚡️ 🤳

Last month, we attended our annual continuing education seminar with in Orlando. It was a fun and insightful experience, keeping us up to date on Electrical Safety, Florida Building Codes, Florida Laws and Rules, NEC (National Electrical Code) Calculations, and more. Another big shout out to Alexander for passing his Journeyman Electrician Exam! 👏

“A journeyman is a skilled worker who has completed a formal apprenticeship and is fully qualified to practice their trade independently. They sit between an apprentice (a beginner) and a master (an expert who can own a business and train others) in the professional hierarchy.

In the skilled trades (like plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work), a journeyman has passed the required exams and accrued the necessary hours (often 4–5 years of on-the-job training and schooling) to work without direct supervision.

* What they do: They perform complex tasks, run job sites, and can supervise apprentices.
* What they can’t do: In most states, journeymen cannot pull permits, bid on their own contracts, or start an independent business until they reach the highest master level.”
