The TimberTech deck pairs so well with the glass handrail, clean, modern, and open. We carried that same material into the bar and a floating bench wrapped around a fire pit back here. And that planter with the olive tree? That’s the piece that pulls the whole space together.

A finished space is all about the details tying together. 🏡

The homeowner wanted white concrete, tough to source here in California, so we got creative: sealed stucco finished to look just like it. You’d never know the difference.

The part I love is the continuity. We pulled the cobblestone border from the front yard into the back, where it also holds a slope and separates the grass. Same with the TimberTech, on the deck out back and carried into the front gates.

When front and back speak the same language, the whole property feels intentional.

In the 3D, we caught it early: the AC unit was sitting right in the middle of the main walkway. On paper it’s an easy fix, just move it. Discover that halfway through construction and it’s a real headache.

Check out this entrance 💎

The steps are cobblestone, a beautiful material, and yeah, not a cheap one. But used in the right spot, it’s worth every penny. At the main entrance, paired with the columns and carried into a border around the driveway, it makes a real statement.

Finish it off with top cast concrete tying it all together, and the whole entrance just feels elevated. ✨

When we walked this yard, everything was dated, but this curve caught my eye. It was solid, it had character, and honestly it looked good. So instead of tearing it out, we built everything new around it and let it blend right in with the fresh pavers.

This TimberTech build ran around $2,500. When you break it down, materials alone are at least $500, then you’ve got two skilled guys who know exactly what they’re doing building it, and they’ve got to get paid for that craft.

Good work isn’t cheap, but it’s worth it. You’re paying for something built right, that lasts.

We built this entire backyard from the ground up. 🌱

Everything came out first, every plant, every square foot, all demoed and started fresh. From there it was new grass, concrete, a deck, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen, and layers of plants.

And that grass? Real, not artificial. Turf has its place, but I’ll always say it: nothing beats real grass, especially in a big backyard like this one. It just feels alive.
