The groundbreaking ceremony for 28 Pearl Street, a new transit-oriented, multifamily residential development in the heart of downtown Port Chester, by Lessard Design and Katherine Acre Partners, a newly formed venture between St. Katherine Group and Six Acre Capital, was a smashing success yesterday !
Hosted at T&J Restaurant (10 Pearl Street, Port Chester), adjacent to the development site, the event celebrated the official launch of this thoughtfully designed, transformative mixed-use project, which will bring a modern nine-story residential building featuring 140 apartments to Port Chester’s growing downtown corridor. Located just a short walk from the Metro-North train station, 28 Pearl Street is designed to support the area’s continued growth as a vibrant, connected live-work-play destination in Westchester County.
Developed by Katherine Acre in partnership with Fields Grade Development and Lightning Cove Properties, the project will include market-rate and workforce residences, structured garage parking, and convenient walking access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and regional transportation.

🎯 ALWAYS SOMETHING HAPPENING AT LESSARD DESIGN 🎯
At Lessard Design, we believe in pushing boundaries—whether it's creating award-winning design solutions or launching a completely unnecessary (but highly entertaining) office bounty challenge. 🤠
What started as a friendly $25 challenge to scare Jodi Leigh somehow escalated into a $25,000 bounty (according to the highly questionable accounting department 😆).
After two weeks of surprise attacks, sneaky tactics, and enough jump scares to qualify as a workplace sport, one champion emerged:
🏆 Chris Lessard — Official Bounty Winner
Armed with persistence, creativity, and apparently a Bruce Springsteen alter ego, Chris secured the title and eternal bragging rights.
The real winner? Our culture.
Because while we take our work seriously, we never take ourselves too seriously.
From design reviews to bounty boards, from client presentations to friendly office competitions, there's always something happening at Lessard Design.

Next year is gearing up to be a pivotal one for Potomac Shores, a 1,920-acre master-planned community in Dumfries, Virginia.
The community is set to welcome a train station in late 2027, a 622K SF multifamily development called Waterline, constructed by general contractor Coakley & Williams Construction .
The five-story, transit-oriented development is designed as a wood-frame wrap structure around a multilevel parking garage, delivering a robust amenity program within the broader Potomac Shores master plan. Offering 365 units ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, along with more than 31K SF of amenity space designed to support a modern residential experience. Planned amenities include coworking and social spaces, a fitness center, a pool, and outdoor gathering areas with views of the Potomac River.

Great time at the InterFace Carolinas Multifamily on May 21st in Charlotte. Our VP of Multifamily, Christopher Boone, AIA, LEED AP, spoke about Architecture, Design & Construction in the Carolinas Today. Greenville continues to grow 📈
We are excited to begin construction on a major new apartment development bringing hundreds of new residential units and expanded public space to the area.
