The bones of our Hattertown Farm project were so important to maintain. Building out from the classic structure, we retained as much of the original materials as possible, updating the home without erasing its historic roots.

On the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, Castle Drogo, completed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1930, is recognized as the last "proper" castle built in England. This stair hall captures everything that makes it extraordinary: stone walls, leaded windows flooding the space with light, and a portrait anchoring the landing with all the authority of centuries past.
