We’re proud to welcome Levi Herriage to the team as our new Safety Manager—and there’s no better time than during Construction Safety Week.

Levi started in the industry providing onsite safety and rescue before quickly moving into a management role in the gases and welding distribution industry. Before making his way to Decker, he spent 3.5 years working in mechanical construction.

Safety isn’t just a focus this week; it’s a commitment every day. We’re excited to have Levi helping us raise the bar. ⚡

At Decker Electric, safety is our top priority. This week is Construction Safety Week with an 'All In Together' theme that focuses on three core pillars: Recognize, Respond, and Respect to prevent serious injuries and fatalities.

We take every measure to make sure each one of our employees as well as all personnel on the jobsite make it home safely each night. We give our employees the tools and training to perform their job safely ⚡

Apprenticeship Spotlight for !

We recently asked Caitlin Thornhill, third year Wireman Apprentice, about her apprenticeship experience at Decker. She has learned the value of humility and listening. "Every lesson I am taught is only useful if I humble myself and truly listen to my superiors." Since entering the program, Caitlin has grown knowledge in her craft and has gained critical thinking skills that has immensely increased her confidence.

"My journeyman, foreman, employers, and instructors have all shown extraordinary patience. I deeply appreciate them all taking the time to explain the "why" behind every process. I love my job and always encourage others to check out a career in the trades. While sometimes challenging, it has proven to be a great fit for me, and I am grateful for this career."

Project Throwback: 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘂𝘀 | 𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗜𝗱𝗮𝗵𝗼⚡

Shell Bovarius was a brand-new facility that we helped complete from the ground up. Our scope was anything electrical and instrumentation wise starting at the medium voltage transformer that connected the plant to the electrical grid. Once concrete and steel were set, we ran all of our cable tray and conduit, followed by cable pulls and terminations. We were in charge of both power and communication cabling as well as installation and wiring of all light fixtures throughout the facility. Lastly, we wrapped up the project by installing all of the heat trace for the facility, mainly on process piping and tubing.
