Led by our qualified Naval Architect, Oliver, we recently submitted the formal Physical Marine Condition Survey and Valuation Reports—and we’re thrilled to share feedback from Queni Kenneth:⁣

In this update, our CEO and Chairman of the Vanuatu Shipping Association, Andrew Bohn, highlights the critical shortage of qualified Ni-Vanuatu captains and engineers across domestic fleets. While importing overseas labor keeps vessels moving, building a strong, self-reliant maritime industry—and protecting our national connectivity between islands—requires investing directly in local talent.⁣

From reforming maritime training to redirecting education scholarships where they can have the greatest impact, there is huge potential to build a workforce that not only powers domestic vessels but can also export skilled labor regionally.⁣
