“I have always been drawn to the way a space can make you feel. Interior design is about so much more than creating something visually beautiful - it’s about understanding how people live, move, connect and experience the spaces around them.
There is an important distinction between creating a house and creating a home. While design shapes the physical space, I’m drawn to the idea that it can create the backdrop for life to unfold - for everyday rituals, meaningful moments, connection and the memories that are made over time. To me, the most successful spaces are not only beautiful and considered, but feel personal, lived in and deeply connected to the people who call them home.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a vision evolve from an idea into a space that can be experienced and lived in - from the broader design intention and spatial planning to the subtle details, considered elements and tactile layers that allow the design to take shape. I have a particular appreciation for texture and the way different materials can be layered to tell a story, creating depth, warmth and a sense of character within a space. These layers add richness and personality to a space in ways that are often felt as much as they are seen.
I genuinely love human connection and really value the collaborative nature of what we do. Working alongside talented designers, clients, suppliers and makers means that every project brings a new perspective and an opportunity to learn. I find it incredibly rewarding to see different ideas, experiences, talents and ways of thinking come together to create something greater than the sum of its individual parts.
Being part of the Ohkre team has given me the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects while continually learning from those around me and bringing shared ideas and visions to life.”
