Split Systems vs Ducted Heating – which is right for your home?

If you’re considering replacing your ducted heater with split systems, it’s worth understanding the key differences…...

❄️ Split Systems
A great choice if you’re looking for energy-efficient heating & cooling with the flexibility to control individual rooms. Installation can also be more affordable when you only need to heat and cool a few key areas.
The main consideration? Each room generally requires its own visible indoor unit.

🔥 Ducted Heating
Ideal if you want powerful, consistent heating throughout the entire home with a clean and discreet finish. Warm air is distributed through discreet floor or ceiling vents, making ducted heating a great option for whole-home comfort.

What about running costs?
Split systems generally have the advantage when it comes to energy efficiency and running costs. However, this will vary depending on the efficiency and star rating of the system, your home and how you use it.

And installation costs?
A single split system will generally cost less to install. However, once you need four or five split systems throughout the home, that cost advantage can reduce considerably.
Ultimately, the right option depends on your home, your lifestyle and your budget.
