Their first home could be in your backyard.
Something I’ve been working on recently that some parents here might find useful.
We’ve just launched a 1-bedroom backyard home (60sqm) with:
• Full kitchen
• Living area
• Bedroom
• Study space
• Bathroom
It’s designed to achieve NCC Class 1A, which means it can receive a building permit and be legally lived in as a permanent dwelling.
So it’s not a shed, and not a tiny home on wheels.
The idea is simple:
If you already have land, this could be a way to help your kids have their own space — without leaving the suburb or taking on a full mortgage straight away.
Curious if anyone here has looked into something like this before?
