Bestwest Building Inspections inspects rain, hail or shine, and when it's wet the weather does part of the job for us.

Rain shows water pooling where it shouldn't. It shows which way water actually moves across paving, balconies and around the slab. It shows up water entry points that a dry day keeps hidden. All of that goes into the report as observed on the day. 🏠

Three things your builder won't remind you to check before you sign off. 📋

1. Corrosion rating of fixings and fittings. Essential near the coast, and worth confirming anywhere in Perth.
2. Wind zone compliance and tie-down requirements. Coastal and exposed sites sit in higher wind zones.

3. Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) compliance, if your block is in a bush or grass fire risk zone.

None of these show up on a walk-through with the site supervisor. All three get checked at a Practical Completion Inspection by our extensive team of highly experienced registered builders. 👷‍♂️

That is a major structural defect. Relatively straightforward to fix, but it needs proper relocation and support so the floor stays sound and safe.
