We're pleased to be continuing our work at Parkland Heights in Baldivis, delivering 67 lots for the next stage, 9A.

This is the seventh stage BOS has delivered for our valued client, Rockingham Park, demonstrating our ability to manage multi stage developments with greater certainty, consistent quality and seamless coordination from one stage to the next.

Safety is a responsibility we share. It means taking the time to get things right, following the right processes and never compromising on the wellbeing of our team and other people around us to get a job done.

Throughout Safe Work Month, our team has been reflecting on what we’re working safely for, not only on the ground, but beyond our worksites. The results showed how many common interests we share - family time and weekends with friends to fishing trips, BBQs and future adventures.

We’ve put these reminders on display in our crib rooms and offices to keep our purpose front of mind and reinforce our commitment to protecting the lives, health and future of our people. Being safe isn't only a focus for one month, it's a commitment we carry everyday.

We're pleased to share that our project Greenlea Stage 3A has reached practical completion, with 41 lots delivered for Avon Estates in Baldivis.

Continuing on from the neighbouring 5A, our scope of works included bulk earthworks, sewer and water reticulation, stormwater drainage, road construction, limestone retaining walls, underground power installation, and NBN infrastructure.

Drone images show the completed project compared to first shots when we began this stage in June.

Great work to our team on delivering the final puzzle piece, as the wider development nears completion.

Our crews have mobilised to site at Jane Brook Stage 3B, with site stripping and excavation for retaining wall footings already underway.

With proven experience delivering civil infrastructure in challenging terrain, our team is well equipped to navigate the site’s variable conditions, including clay and rock excavation. Our scope of works for DevelopmentWA includes earthworks, retaining walls up to 6m high, sewer reticulation, storm water drainage, roadworks and footpaths, underground power, water, gas and NBN.

Scheduled for completion in mid-2027, Jane Brook Stage 3B will deliver 37 large residential lots at the foothills of the Darling Ranges.

Sustainability isn't just always how we build, it's sometimes about what we choose to keep.

As part of the Davis Park project, a large Norfolk Pine was carefully relocated and transplanted into the new public open space 45 metres away - supporting DevelopmentWA’s ongoing commitment to embedding sustainability throughout its projects.

Relocating a mature tree of this scale takes careful planning, specialist expertise and plenty of coordination. A 16m x 9m crane pad was built by BOS and certified by a Geotechnical Engineer, to allow a 250 tonne crane to set up and lift the tree safely over powerlines and into its new location.

We're pleased to share that the lift was completed safely, and the tree is now being carefully maintained by Arbor Centre as it establishes in its new home and returns to full health.

A great example of how thoughtful planning and collaboration can help preserve existing environmental assets while creating new public spaces.

On site in Applecross, where the feature shelter for Goolugalup Welcome Place Stage 2 has now been lifted into position.

With the shelter now in place, works are progressing towards completion ahead of the warmer months. Street light poles, summer stone fines and concrete footpaths are nearing completion, with street furniture installation next on the schedule.

Stage 2 is designed to create a welcoming, accessible space that tells the stories of place, strengthens connections to Country and enhances the community’s connection to the river and surrounding environment.

The project for the City of Melville includes an Apothecary Healing Garden and Welcome Shelter, native landscaping and ecological restoration works, interpretive signage and wayfinding, accessible community amenities, and enhanced connections to the river.

At BOS Civil, safety starts before the first equipment arrives on site.

Every project we work on brings different conditions, interfaces and risks. From underground services and excavation to plant movements, traffic management and working around existing infrastructure, understanding those risks is critical to delivering the work safely.

Our planning, pre starts, SWMS, site inspections and daily conversations are all part of the same process: identifying what could go wrong and putting controls in place before it does.

It's to make sure that everyone goes home safely at the end of each day.

This October, National Safe Work Month is a reminder that safe work is for life.

Our Belvidere Streetscape team recently took part in cultural awareness training, strengthening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, culture and connection to Country.

As we work across many communities and public spaces, we recognise the importance of understanding the people, culture and Country connected to the places where we work.

One of the key takeaways for the team was learning that respect can look different across cultures. The training encouraged us to appreciate different ways of communicating, showing respect and building relationships.

It also highlighted the importance of understanding when cultural blessings or approvals may be appropriate before works begin.

We’re continuing to build our understanding and look forward to putting these learnings into practice across our projects and on site.

BOS Civil is proud to have delivered the Ada Street Revitalisation for the of Subiaco, creating a safer, greener and more welcoming public space for the community.

The project transformed the existing street through:
• Removal of the existing asphalt pavement and installation of a durable brick paving
• Extensive tree planting and enhanced verge landscaping
• New street furniture and interactive play equipment
• Installation of bird boxes to support local biodiversity

Designed to balance vehicle access with community use, the completed streetscape enhances safety, connectivity and amenity while creating an inviting destination for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Projects like Ada Street demonstrate how thoughtful civil construction can revitalise urban spaces and deliver lasting value for the communities they serve.
