Team RJV was out in force last Sunday - taking on either the 4km or the 12km from Perth City to City Beach for the Chevron City to Surf for GenU .

The conditions were kind, the blue shirts were everywhere and a fabulous time was had by all.

New client, new site!

RJV has been awarded Stage 1 works at Lot 2029 Forrest Road for 828 Property - our first project with this client. The scope covers bulk earthworks and full civil construction as part of the broader 85-lot residential development.

We’re looking forward working with 828 and continuing to strengthen that relationship as well as alongside JDSi Consulting Engineers.

Team RJV is lacing up again!

On Sunday 30 August we will be out again for the 2026 City to Surf with some taking on the 12km from St Georges Terrace, others the 4km from McLean Park in Floreat.

It’s become one of the highlights of the RJV calendar: office and site, families included and everyone out together on a Sunday morning.

If you spot a wall of RJV shirts somewhere, that’s us!

Zero safety issues!

That was the result our Treeby site team returned in their recent safety audit.

Excellent job, team. Results like this don’t come from a tidy site on the day. They come from crews who plan the work properly, raise things early and follow process to allow completion of work at high standards.

Two new Caterpillar CS13 GC rollers join our fleet!

To strengthen our operational capability and keep pace with the increasing demand across our civil and urban construction projects, RJV has recently invested in the purchase of two additional Caterpillar CS13 GC Vibratory Soil Compactors.

This strategic investment further enhances our fleet capacity and ensures our teams have access to modern, reliable equipment capable of meeting the diverse requirements of our projects throughout the region.

A key advantage of these rollers is their suitability for working in and around sensitive environments and critical infrastructure corridors. The micro vibe-controlled vibration capabilities allow operators to achieve required compaction specifications while minimising the risk of disturbance to existing underground services, utilities and surrounding infrastructure. This makes them particularly valuable for urban developments, subdivision works, road upgrades, and projects where the protection of existing assets is paramount.

Sustainable offices have arrived at our Malaga workshop ☀️

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have now completed phase 1 of our energy and infrastructure upgrade at our Malaga workshop thanks to TCD Civil Construction. Two smart infrastructure transportable buildings, integrated with a 24kWh battery system and 24 515W solar panels, have been purpose-built for RJV's operational needs.

Designed to work with the energy system, their high thermal efficiency enables a compact, efficient off-grid setup. The solar installation is expected to generate around 20,000kWh annually (~54kWh/day) - ample surplus to also power the site's southern domes and ablution facilities. Independent testing shows the buildings average 8dBA quieter than a conventional transportable office.

Phase 2 will expand the system with a 200kWh battery and 60 additional solar panels, creating a scalable platform that supports site growth while reducing reliance on diesel power.

Practical completion achieved at Skyfields! 🎉

RJV is proud to have completed our scope at Skyfields by Perth Airport - our first project with this new client. Located in the West South (Dunreath Green) precinct, the early works spanned approximately 26 hectares within the Airport Estate, preparing the site for future commercial and industrial development.

Our scope covered clearing and topsoil removal, processing and management of topsoil, removal of excess vegetation offsite, and site stabilisation. The precinct is now fully stabilised and ready for follow-on works.
