Just a reminder, always visually check or have your large trees checked by a professional arborist on a regular basis (at least once a year and/or especially after adverse weather conditions).
If a tree has been exposed to large amounts of rain and strong winds look up for fallen branches which may still be "hanging by a thread" in the tree's canopy. Even the smallest of branches may have quite an impact once it's reached the ground after falling from a height.

Also, take note of any unusual lean or any die back of branches after these events and if it looks concerning, don't hesitate to get in contact with an arborist to come out and inspect the tree's health.
Simple tree management today can stop larger problems further down the track.

One of the perks of working in gardens is seeing animals in their natural environment.
This was a very curious and opportunistic water dragon at a job in Aspley, Brisbane. It sat very close to our chipper hoping to catch disturbed insects.
