This week in Liverpool we welcomed community members and the Minister of Housing, to Liverpool for a tour of our newest public housing development.
Delivered through a collaboration between DORA, Eastcut, the Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency, and the Liverpool community, this 8-unit project supports the province's broader effort to expand safe, affordable housing across Nova Scotia.
The visit included a walkthrough of the completed homes, showcasing what can be achieved through modular construction. Built with long-term performance in mind, these homes feature energy-efficient systems, durable assemblies, and accessible layouts designed for durability and comfort. Four of the eight units are fully accessible, and each home includes its own balcony, for more inclusive living.
By combining off-site volumetric construction with on-site progress in Liverpool, this project is proof of how delivery can be streamlined without compromising quality.
Thank you to MLA Kim Masland, Queens Regional Mayor Scott Christian, and Minster John White, and all of the teams and trades who helped bring this project to life.
A step forward in delivering safe affordable housing for more people across Nova Scotia. 🏘
