Can it wait until spring?

It’s a question worth asking if you’ve noticed something concerning about a tree on your property.

Maybe it’s a dead branch, a tree that’s started leaning, or something that just doesn’t look quite right.

Some tree work can be planned for spring. Other situations may need attention sooner.

Having your trees assessed now can help you better understand their condition, what your options are, and whether there’s a reason to act before winter.

It also gives you a chance to plan ahead and schedule any work that can wait until spring.

Not sure? Call first.

We don’t have a photo of the cute beaver responsible for this one, but we do have photos of the damage it left behind!

A recent job brought us to a waterfront property where beavers had chewed through a tree, causing it to fall onto a cottage.

Beavers are an important part of our local ecosystem, but they can create some serious problems for property owners.

If you live near water, keep an eye out for freshly chewed bark, wood chips and damage around the base of your trees.

Being mindful of the wildlife around your property can help you protect both your trees and your home.

Spring tree care starts now!

It might seem early to start thinking about next spring, but getting your trees assessed now can save you some guesswork later.

Whether it’s pruning, fertilization, a possible removal or something you’re just not sure about, having an arborist take a look now means you’ll know what needs attention, what can wait and what to plan for.

It also gives you the opportunity to get work scheduled ahead of the busy spring season instead of waiting until everyone else starts calling.

We’re currently planning for spring 2027, and there’s no need to wait until the snow melts to start the conversation.

Healthy trees need more than sunlight and water.

What’s happening below ground matters too.

Professional tree fertilization can help address nutrient deficiencies and support healthy growth, particularly when trees are growing in challenging soil conditions.

At Lynx Tree Care, we take a targeted approach. Not every tree needs fertilizer, and understanding the condition of the tree and its growing environment helps determine whether fertilization is the right choice.

We’re starting to plan for spring 2027 fertilization services now.

If you have trees on your property that could use some attention, get in touch. We’d be happy to discuss your options and help you plan ahead.

As the leaves start coming down, you may notice things in your trees that were harder to see all summer.

Dead or damaged branches. Changes in structure. Limbs growing toward buildings or other areas of the property.

Fall can be a good time to take a closer look at what’s actually happening overhead.

If something catches your attention, you don’t have to know exactly what’s wrong before giving us a call. That’s what the assessment is for.

Good tree work starts long before any equipment comes out.

Every property is different, and so is every tree. Before work begins, we look at the tree itself, its condition and structure, what surrounds it, and what could be affected by the work.

That assessment helps determine the safest and most appropriate approach for the tree and the property.

Sometimes that means pruning. Sometimes removal. Sometimes the best decision is to leave the tree exactly the way it is.

The equipment is part of the job. Knowing what needs to be done, and why, comes first.
