Great news and a quick update: refurbishment works at Kerr’s Road Pool have actually kicked off a bit earlier than expected! 🏗️

While we’re excited to get these improvements moving, it does mean we’ve had to cancel this week’s bookings to allow the team (Mark 🤣) to start some urgent work immediately. We are so incredibly sorry for the short notice and any disappointment this caused to our swimmers.

The pool is now closed., and we’re currently aiming for a mid-May 2026 reopening.

Kerrs Road Pool will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 21st April 2026 for at least three weeks while essential work is carried out.

Unfortunately, swims cannot be booked after this date as we do not yet have a confirmed reopening time. We will keep everyone updated and let you know as soon as we are ready to welcome you back.

After years of families commenting on the bunnies on the lane, we now have new inhabitants moved in.

Although we appreciate the recent rainfall, it has left pools of water in the low-lying fields and brought a few new creatures to spot along the lane on the way up to the pool.

January can be a hard enough month to run a swimming pool but motivation always comes from my great customers...

2025 was another busy and eventful year at Kerrs Road Pool, thank you to all our customers for your continued support and use of the pool.

We started 2025 by reopening on the 19th January & we all remember what happened a few days later - yep Storm Éowyn and we were closed again with no electric for 5 days - on the positive the tree we replanted is still doing well 😃🌳

Then in February our dehumidifiers system "died" in dramatic fashion which resulted in Mark and I having a road trip to Skegness to acquire a new system. This we fitted over the next few months with some customers having indoor showers as they swam 😅🤣

We got new settees & throws, had our first music video made in the pool house, continue to sponsor our guide dog Jack and planted out some lovely dwarf sunflowers grown by one of our customers. Finally Kathy, our swim teacher, at last, getting her foot operation and recovering well.

What a year and we welcome 2026 with more adventures but hopeful no dramas please!
