🐄Meet the Team – Jamie, Machine Operator

Jamie joined us in March and hasn't stopped since!

In just a few short months, he's covered more of the UK than some people do in a year. From Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland to the far reaches of Devon, he's worked across 10 English counties, tackled projects in Wales, and even spent a week in Jersey.

At this rate, we're starting to wonder if he's a Machine Operator or a travel blogger! 😉

Jamie has brought plenty of enthusiasm, a great work ethic, and a willingness to get stuck into every job that comes his way.

Want to see his handywork for yourself? You'll have the chance at our Open Day on Wednesday 8th July in North Yorkshire, where not only will you be able to see some freshly completed grooving on display, but he'll also be in action on the day too.

We're delighted to have Jamie as part of the team and look forward to seeing what he achieves next.

🐄 Slats losing their grip?

Over time, concrete slats can wear smooth, increasing the risk of slips. Re-grooving with diamond blades restores traction and leaves a clean, long-lasting finish.

Concrete naturally becomes smoother over time as it wears, especially in high-traffic areas.

As grip is reduced, cattle can become less confident on their feet, which may affect movement through passages, collecting yards and other frequently used areas.

Concrete grooving helps restore traction by cutting a pattern of grooves into the surface, providing a more secure footing underfoot.

Yorkshireman Philip is our go-to expert for anti-slip solutions on the farm. Travelling the length and breadth of the UK, he’s passionate about helping farmers find practical, tailored solutions that really make a difference — no fuss, just good honest advice.

Coming from a farming background, Philip has spent his whole career in agriculture, whether hands-on or supporting farmers in other roles 🐄

💡 He’s also a Registered Animal Medicines Advisor (RAMA), adding another string to his bow when it comes to supporting UK farmers.

🎣 Fun Fact: When he’s not clocking up the miles, you’ll likely find him by the water. Philip is a keen match fisherman and once landed a winning total weight of 85lb 🏆
