Happy Women in Construction Week 2026! 👷♀️✨
Today we are catching up with Eryn, our Project Supervisor at 1Call, to hear what a typical day looks like for her
“Hey everyone! I’m Eryn 👋
I’ve been with 1Call for around seven years now, so if you’ve worked with us before, chances are we’ve already met!
My day usually starts the same way — arrive at the office, grab a cuppa, and get settled at my desk. Every morning we have a team briefing to recap the previous day, make sure our jobs are on track, and update each other on anything happening across the business.
Most days include a couple of site visits or customer meetings, both in and out of the office. I love getting out on site — it’s great seeing projects come to life and making sure everything is being delivered to the right standard. Customer meetings are always a highlight too… especially because I do enjoy a good chat!
Then comes my favourite time of the day… lunch. Usually it’s a packed lunch, but on certain Fridays (if you know, you know 👀) we treat ourselves to something a little less healthy — and a lot more fun.
Afternoons are typically spent on admin, emails, calls, and on certain days, some university work. I’m currently studying Project Management at RGU while working full time. The experience I’ve gained at 1Call has been invaluable in supporting my studies — and in turn, it’s helping me continue to develop and grow in my career.
And if you’ve spotted us on social media… that’s me too! I look after our pages, which means brainstorming ideas and occasionally persuading (forcing) the team to get involved. Sorry… not sorry!
