This contemporary family home in Yeovil brought together mass timber construction, wood fibre insulation, high-performance airtightness measures and a range of low-energy technologies, alongside carefully selected materials including local Hamstone and larch cladding.

With so many different elements involved, careful coordination throughout the build was key.

Designed by Micah Jones architecture, the home features an ‘upside down’ arrangement, placing the main living spaces upstairs to make the most of the incredible surrounding views.
