☀️ Another solar PV & battery storage installation completed in the South East ☀️
This property now benefits from 14 × 465W DMEG solar panels, giving a total installed array capacity of 6.51 kWp, together with battery storage and backup capability to provide greater energy independence and resilience during a power cut. ⚡🔋
The roof installation was completed over 2 days, with minimal disruption to the customer — other than the access required through the loft while the electrical and cabling works were completed.
In favourable summer conditions in the South East, a 6.51 kWp array like this could generate around 25–35 kWh of electricity on a good day, depending on roof orientation, temperature, shading and weather conditions. At peak output, the panels are capable of producing up to around 6.5 kW of DC power before inverter/system limitations are taken into account.
The addition of battery storage means excess solar generated during the day can be stored and used later, rather than immediately exported to the grid. With backup functionality included, selected household circuits can also remain powered during a grid outage, subject to the system design and available battery capacity.
A great example of how solar PV and battery storage can work together to reduce grid reliance, make better use of self-generated electricity and provide additional peace of mind. ☀️⚡🔋
