Today I am away on holiday for a week for a well needed break with my family and some friends.

Business as usual at home with all the men working on ongoing projects.

⬛️ BATHROOM RENOVATION COMPLETE ⬛️

We started this bathroom renovation around 5 weeks ago. While the project took longer than originally planned, there were several design changes throughout the process, including the installation of a brand-new window that was ordered midway through the job.

At Karta Construction Ltd, we never claim to be perfect — but what we do guarantee is that every customer gets exactly what they want. We take pride in offering advice and guidance throughout the project to help bring each client’s vision to life.

This bathroom originally included a large attached cupboard that was simply wasted space, so we stripped everything back to the bones and completely transformed the layout.

Works completed included:

▪️ Full rewire
▪️ New recessed niche with LED mirror
▪️ Modern LED strip lighting
▪️ Full wall and floor tiling
▪️ Brand-new luxury bathroom furniture
▪️ Installation of a new window

Not every project goes exactly to plan, and we believe honesty is always the best policy. Thankfully, the client had a second bathroom available, which allowed us the time needed to complete everything properly without rushing the finish.

Another fantastic transformation completed and, most importantly, another very happy customer 😍

This just popped up on my memories on Facebook and it’s hit me hard, just how far I’ve came in the last 16 years.

After completing an apprenticeship and working for a while after the 2008 crash things weren’t great.

I spent the next 10 years living abroad for a couple of them, coming home and being in and out of different jobs, trying my hand back at joinery here and there but never enjoyed working for anybody.

I just always knew I was destined to be my own boss but I never knew when or how it would happen.

Don’t get me wrong in that 10 years I had a lot of fun, met people who I call friends for life and had some interesting jobs. Learned a lot of life skills over that aswell!

2020 after being made redundant again I just knew it was now or never for me as everything else in my life at the time was settled and going great!

6 years later here we are an award winning company going from strength to strength. 6 work vans on the road 10 guys working for me and many subbies working constantly for Karta too!

Rarely do I ever get minute to sit back and enjoy it and I have alot more grey hair now but would I change a thing? Not a chance!! 😄
