🏗️ NEW PROJECT SECURED | BRISTOL & WEST HOUSE, BOURNEMOUTH

We’re pleased to have secured a new project at Bristol & West House in Bournemouth for Fulcrum Construction , a valued repeat customer of ours. 🤝

This iconic town-centre building, overlooking Bournemouth Square, is one of the area’s most recognisable properties and will make for a particularly interesting scaffolding package.

Our works will involve a fully designed scaffold, including engineered under-propping to the existing canopy, with the main structure then built above. 📐

Due to the busy location, careful planning will be key to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently, while keeping disruption to the public, surrounding businesses and the building itself to an absolute minimum.

A great local project to be involved in, and another example of the detailed planning and technical approach complex access works require. 👷‍♂️

ANOTHER MAJOR PROJECT SECURED 🚧

We’re proud to announce that TWK Scaffolding has secured the scaffolding package for the landmark Newton’s Cove development in Weymouth, working once again with our longstanding client Juno Developments.

And this one is BIG. 👇

🏗️ 500+ tonnes of scaffolding equipment
🔩 Nearly 50,000 fittings
🪵 Around 125 tonnes of scaffold boards
🏢 3 major phases
📅 Phase One starts September 2026
➡️ Phases Two & Three to follow

Newton’s Cove occupies the former MoD/Defence research site on Weymouth’s waterfront, and the wider scheme includes up to 141 homes, a 60-bed care home, leisure facilities, commercial space and a restaurant, together with extensive public realm and coastal works. (Savills)

With a project of this scale, planning starts long before the first scaffold is erected.

We’re already involved in pre-construction meetings alongside the other trades, coordinating sequencing, access, logistics and programme requirements to help make sure the project runs as smoothly as possible from day one.

Securing a multi-phase package of this size gives our teams a fantastic programme of work over the coming years and shows exactly what TWK Scaffolding can deliver — from smaller specialist projects through to some of the largest developments on the South Coast.

A huge thank you to Juno Developments for continuing to place their trust in TWK.

Phase One — September. Let’s get started. 💪

🏗️ TWO NEW ALDI PROJECTS SECURED | WELLINGTON & CANFORD BOTTOM

We’re pleased to announce that TWK Scaffolding has secured two new Aldi store projects, with works commencing shortly in Wellington, Somerset and Canford Bottom, Dorset.

The new Wellington development, located near Chelston Roundabout, represents an investment of approximately £7 million and is expected to create up to 40 new jobs for the local area.

At Canford Bottom, the new store will form part of continued investment in the Wimborne area, on a site located close to the A31/B3073 junction.

Securing both projects is another great example of the TWK team’s flexibility, experience, and geographical reach.

While our core operations cover the South of England, a number of our long-standing, high-value clients trust us to support their projects much further afield. Over time, this has led TWK to deliver scaffolding packages across the South Coast, Cornwall, Wales and the Midlands.

Different locations. Different sectors. Different project requirements.
One consistent standard of delivery.

We’re looking forward to getting started on both Aldi developments and seeing more projects come through in the months ahead.

🏗️ Another project nearing completion! 👏

We’re pleased to be approaching the final stages of our scaffolding package for the new Household Waste Recycling Centre in Blandford, delivered for our valued repeat client, . ♻️

From the outset, this project has required careful planning, close collaboration and a strong focus on safety to ensure the construction team could progress efficiently throughout each phase of the build. 👷‍♂️🦺

👏 A special mention must go to the fantastic site team at Heidelberg Materials. It’s been a pleasure working alongside such a professional, proactive and collaborative group who have helped make the project run smoothly from start to finish. Strong relationships on site make all the difference, and this project has been a great example of that. 🤝

It’s always rewarding to see a project take shape, and even more so when it’s for a client who continues to place their trust in TWK Scaffolding. Repeat business is something we never take for granted, and we’re proud to continue supporting Heidelberg Materials across a number of their projects. 💙

We look forward to handing over another successful project and continuing our strong working relationship on future schemes. 🚧

Investing in people. Building the future of our industry.

At TWK Scaffolding, we are continuing to invest in growing our team, developing skilled operatives and helping to secure the future workforce of the scaffolding industry.

We are regularly approached by candidates asking whether we are prepared to fund their qualifications, support their training or send them through apprenticeships.

Our answer is simple: when someone demonstrates commitment, reliability and the right attitude, we are prepared to invest in them.

Jay Cousins joined us from another scaffolding company just over six months ago. The agreement from day one was straightforward:

Turn up every day, be on time, work hard and bring a can-do attitude - and TWK will support and fund your development.

Six months later, Jay has become an integral and valued member of our team.

Last week, he began his CISRS Part 2 training with Simian at Weston College in Weston-super-Mare.

During his Part 2 training, Jay will build on the experience he has gained on site and develop his practical and theoretical knowledge across structures including loading bays, pavement gantries, protective fans, roof scaffolds, truss-outs, splay scaffolds, edge protection and bridging using prefabricated beams. He will also continue developing his understanding of fall prevention, scaffold stability, tie testing, inspections and the safe er****on, alteration and dismantling of scaffolds.

This is another important step in Jay’s journey towards becoming a fully qualified scaffolder and demonstrates what can be achieved when a business is prepared to invest and an individual is prepared to put in the effort.

Well done, Jay - your progress is thoroughly deserved. We look forward to supporting you throughout the next stage of your career.

Would you join a company that invests in your qualifications and career development?

Ferry Bridge, Weymouth

A specialist access solution taking shape beneath Ferry Bridge in Weymouth.

Heidelberg Materials instructed TWK team to provide bespoke access solution for the concrete repairs to the underside of bridge linking Weymouth with Portland.

Our team designed, supplied and in process of completing a bespoke hanging scaffold, providing safe access to the underside of the bridge while working above the water. The project required detailed planning, precise installation and careful coordination to overcome restricted access and challenging site conditions.

This project demonstrates TWK Scaffolding’s ability to deliver complex scaffolding solutions for civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the South of England.

Big shout out to our top dog designer Acute Scaffold Design Ltd for going extra mile on this one! 💪💪💪

The team is doing fantastic job and is way ahead of the scheduled completion date. Well done boys! Absolute legends! 👏👏👏

We’re proud to introduce two of TWK Scaffolding’s newest apprentices, Matthew and Callum, who have recently begun their Level 2 Scaffolder apprenticeships with Simian and LASC.

Matthew started college last month and, after completing his first two-week training block in London, is already back on site every day, gaining valuable practical experience across different types of scaffolding and a wide range of construction environments.

Callum travelled to London this weekend to begin his own journey towards achieving this valuable qualification over the next 24 months.

At TWK Scaffolding, we understand how important it is to invest in the next generation of skilled tradespeople. We are committed to supporting the future of the scaffolding industry by bringing fresh talent into the trade and giving young people the opportunity to learn, develop and build long-term careers within a friendly and supportive environment.

We look forward to following Matthew and Callum’s progress over the coming months and supporting them every step of the way.

Good luck, lads — the hard work starts now!
