Designed to embrace its surroundings. Set within a highly sought-after location in the National Park, this former agricultural building had recently been converted to residential use, however poor quality materials and deteriorating timber construction meant a fresh start was needed.

Our proposal replaces the existing structure with a carefully designed new home on the same footprint, centred around bright open-plan living and spectacular views. The main lounge is elevated to the upper floor, where expansive glazing and a balcony make the most of the stunning landscape beyond.

At ground level, the kitchen and dining space flow directly onto a sunlit terrace, creating a seamless connection between inside and out. Built to modern insulation standards and warmed by a wood-burning stove, the home combines comfort, efficiency, and character — with two private double bedrooms tucked quietly away to one side of the house.

This detached villa had become a patchwork of dated rear extensions, leaving the interior feeling disconnected and lacking flow. The entire home has been reimagined — replacing the previous add-ons with a stunning full-width rear extension and creating a seamless new layout tailored for modern living.

The redesigned interior now includes a private gym, cinema room, family lounge, and an expansive kitchen, sitting, and dining space at the heart of the home. Upstairs has also been rearranged. A new roof and attic conversion have added two generous double bedrooms with en-suites, while the exterior has been fully remodelled to give the property a sleek, contemporary new identity.
