We have been awarded the Waterwise checkmark!

This workplace certification recognises organisations demonstrating a strong commitment to water efficiency through practical initiatives, employee engagement, and long-term water stewardship.

Achieving the Waterwise Checkmark for our office is a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. It reflects the collective efforts of our teams to raise awareness, promote responsible water use, and embed water-efficient practices across the workplace.

We look forward to building on this achievement and continuing to work with Waterwise to improve water efficiency and promote sustainable water use across the industry.

No better way to welcome in the May bank holiday than gathering for a team dinner with our Engineers at Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte in Marylebone last night. This world-famous French bistro in London is renowned for serving a single, iconic dish - steak and chips. It was a fantastic evening and even better company.

Gas sensors play a vital role in modern safety systems, protecting people and property across industrial sites, commercial buildings, and smart environments.

However, they're not designed to last forever. Each sensor has a defined operational lifespan, and over time, its accuracy and reliability can decline. If your gas sensors have been installed for several years, it’s important to know when they should be replaced to maintain effective and dependable protection. We've covered the most common sensors in our blog as well as the warning signs that may indicate it's time to renew. Take a look here: https://www.diamondcontrols.co.uk/news/understanding-gas-sensor-lifespans/

With all this in mind, regular maintenance and timely replacement are critical. At Diamond Controls, we ensure your systems remain compliant, reliable, and fully operational. If your sensors are ageing or lack a maintenance plan, now is the time to act.

Our services cover full system servicing and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis with fast resolution, sensor replacement and system upgrades, commissioning of new or modified systems, retrospective drawings and operation manuals, remote monitoring with real-time alerts, and detailed reports with clear recommendations.

Water Saving Week (4th–8th May) is here and Day 3's focus is: Stop leaks, Save habitats.

It’s the perfect time to raise awareness about how conserving water can start with the smallest actions. A tiny drip may seem insignificant, but over time, it can build up and cause significant water wastage along with potential damage to your property. In the UK, homes can waste between 200–400 litres of water daily due to leaks, while commercial buildings can lose up to 30% of their water supply through undetected issues. Many leaks go unnoticed right under our noses: a dripping tap, a worn-out washer, or a toilet quietly wasting hundreds of litres every day without anyone realising.

At Diamond Controls, we’re big supporters of Water Saving Week. As specialists in leak detection systems, we’re here to help you uncover hidden leaks, save water, costs, and the environment. For professional advice on leak monitoring solutions for your property, please get in touch.

Leaks don’t just waste resources, they can cause serious damage to property, assets, and even put people at risk.

From water and chemicals to oil and refrigerant gases, early detection is critical. That’s where smart leak detection systems make the difference, pinpointing issues fast and triggering automatic responses before problems escalate.

Our leak alarm systems help you identify and stop leaks quickly, reliably, and with confidence. Learn more about how to keep your building and people protected https://www.diamondcontrols.co.uk/leak-detection

The 2026 Earth Day theme is 'Our Power, Our Planet', highlighting that collective action and local community efforts are essential to creating environmental change. It is a reminder that we are all responsible for the planet we live on.

At Diamond Controls, sustainability is at the core of what we do. We are dedicated to minimising avoidable water waste by helping you detect and respond to leaks early before they escalate. It is mind-blowing to think that commercial buildings can lose up to 30% of their water supply through undetected leaks. In England and Wales alone, over 3 billion litres of water are lost daily, totalling more than 1 trillion litres annually. Small changes can make a big difference and we're proud to have helped thousands of businesses take proactive action towards their water usage.

Our latest Trace Heating training course welcomed attendees who travelled all the way from Scotland to our HQ in Norwich.
As experienced insulation contractors, Central Insulation Services regularly receive enquiries about trace heating and wanted to ensure they were following best-practice techniques. This made our course the perfect CPD opportunity, covering installation methods, practical guidance, and testing and commissioning procedures for Raychem frost protection and hot water maintenance trace heating systems.

Interested in joining our next 1-day course? We’re now taking bookings for summer dates, with limited availability remaining this spring.

Jumping into Monday just like this 🐾
This weekend, we attended the Great Witchingham Unaffiliated Horse Trials at Blackwater Farm, which we previously supported with the new jumping fences. Our youngest office junior, Claude, couldn’t wait to try them out himself!
