Keen angler and enthusiastic but novice gardener living on Thameside Court, Bablock Hythe

Very hit and miss with the work this week due to the rain! Autumn has arrived but the temperatures are still encouraging everything to grow and the w**ds appear to love it 🤦🏼‍♂️
A morning spent tidying a few flower beds and managed to make a start on the patio

A quick tidy up of some very w**dy flower beds while being escorted by a very vocal and friendly furry friend 😎

The job was to tidy the hedges up a bit which proved a lot more demanding than I expected. I keep forgetting I’m getting on a bit 😂. The customer was very pleased with the result which, at the end of the day, is all that matters.

Just a bit of w**ding and a tidy up. As with every garden I’ve worked on recently, bind w**d everywhere.

Another ‘little’ job done! It proved to be a bit of a battle with the enormous BlackBerry bushes. There’s still a lot to remove but the main task was get the rid of the dead trees in amongst it all and get it as level as possible. The two hours planned turned into three 🥵 but my customer was extremely happy ‘not to see’ the trees sticking out of the top anymore.

Another couple of hours tidying things up. The recent rain making w**d removal just a tad easier. I finished the bed I started last time and started on the next. Bind w**d everywhere but, very satisfying when you manage to slide out those long white roots 😎

Another couple of hours reclaiming the flower beds and just having a general tidy up. The job is done for now with the heatwave preventing anything growing! I’ll be back later in the year to carry out some general maintenance and sort out a couple of trees.

A slightly cooler day made the 2 hours a bit easier although the dry ground made the w**ding a bit of a task! I just need to sort out the back of the bed on my next visit before moving onto the next.
The fruit trees aren’t that big so I was surprised at the mount of dropped apples that I found and the trees are still full!!

A bit more garden reclaimed. Visit four saw me remove 25 hedge bushes, which were well past their best and a bit more strimming and tidying. It was a case of doing the bits I could do while remaining in the shade 😎

Something a bit different! One of my regular customers asked me to give her summer house a coat of paint. I spent some time on it each time I attended to do the garden. After today’s visit I think it’s almost done. 👍
