🌧️ Heating on but still feeling a draught?

As the weather gets colder, windows and doors that don’t close properly can let the cold in and your heat out.

At Ta**us Glass & Locks, we can help with:

✅ Broken or worn window hinges
✅ Faulty window and door mechanisms
✅ Doors that catch or won’t close properly
✅ Draughty seals and loose handles
✅ Misted or broken double glazed units

You don’t always need new windows or doors! A repair can often get them closing properly again, helping keep your home warmer and reduce heat loss — giving your heating less work to do.

📍 Covering Preston, Leyland, Chorley and surrounding areas.

Send us a message with a photo of the problem and your postcode, and we’ll help you work out what’s needed 👍

£2.4 a litre for diesel? If I pull up to your house like this you’ll know why.

That’s a much better view! 🪟✨

We replaced this shattered double-glazed unit for a customer in Fulwood this week. The existing frame was fine, so we fitted new glass and saved them the cost of replacing the whole window.

If you’ve got cracked, shattered or misted glass, feel free to send us a photo and we’ll be happy to help 😊

Restricted window hinges fitted this morning 🔧

Our customer wanted to make the upstairs window safer and prevent her young daughter from being able to open it too far.

We replaced the existing hinges with restricted window hinges, which limit how far the window can open while still allowing ventilation. The restriction can be released by an adult when necessary.

We fit and replace window hinges, locks, handles and mechanisms throughout Leyland, Preston, Chorley and the surrounding areas.

If you’re concerned about how far a window opens or have a window that isn’t closing properly, contact Ta**us Glass & Locks for advice.
