Another job completed by Rock Renovations.

Underfloor pipework alterations carried out to accommodate two new tall-standing radiators. 🔥

The existing pipework needed altering beneath the floor to suit the new radiator positions, with everything rerouted, connected and tested ready for the finished installation.

From lifting the floor and exposing the existing system through to the completed pipework proper preparation makes for a better finish.

Bathroom Transformation 🛁

This bathroom had definitely seen better days… 🤢

The shower area was suffering from failed grout, constant signs of mould, tired and discoloured tiles, and a mouldy shower curtain that had well and truly had its day.

Rather than ripping out the entire bathroom, we took a more practical approach.

The toilet and basin were still perfectly functional and in good condition, so there was no reason to replace them just for the sake of it. We focused the refurbishment on the areas that actually needed attention, saving our client money while still giving the bathroom a completely different feel.

The refurbishment included:

• Removing the tired shower-area finishes
• New contemporary wall panels
• New shower system
• New glass shower screen
• Refreshing the bath/shower area
• New modern finishes throughout
• Full clean-up and finishing

The result? A cleaner, brighter and much more modern bathroom without the cost of a full rip-out. 🛁

We believe a good renovation isn’t about replacing everything — it’s about replacing what needs replacing and making the most of what doesn’t.

After investigating, we found the shower had never been properly waterproofed with a tanking system. Once the grout and floor tiles failed, water slowly soaked into the floorboards and structural joists, causing hidden damage long before it appeared on the ceiling below.

Customer contacted us after noticing damp, mould, and water leaking through into the bedroom below from the shower area.

After inspection, we found the issue straight away, there was no grout behind the silicone in areas of the shower, meaning water had been getting through over time and causing damage below. Safe to say the previous installer may have skipped a step or two 👀😅

Removed all failed silicone, properly grouted the gaps, cleaned everything back, and re-sealed the shower correctly to make it fully watertight again.

Sometimes it’s the simplest fixes that make the biggest difference when diagnosed properly.

Left clean, sealed, leak free, and most importantly one very happy customer 👍
