Great to finish this house refurbishment. New Ideal gas boiler with full central heating. Previously this was heated with storage heaters. Plumbing work undertaken in the bathroom.

Last training for a bit. I think my head is well trained. Today was another training day at Samsung training centre, Sale, Manchester. This was learning how to monitor, and commission a newly installed Samsung heat pump. I'm glad it was a very informative course, where the trainer explained really well how to set up the heat pump to work as efficiently as possible. Let's get servicing.

In the caption you will see two units that produce the same amount of mains hot water for your property. The 1st is the regular hot water unvented cylinder and the other is a Sunamp unit capable of producing the same amount of hot water. Last week I had a product course on how to install and commission these units.
They are a lot easier to install and as you can see it gives you much more space in your airing cupboard. For more information about this product drop me a message.

Not posted for a while.

We've just completed a bathroom upgrade. No big change. Bath, toilet and shower tray was re fitted. The customer had water coming through the ceiling when using the shower.
Work was carried out to fix the floor. Fix the wall, fit the shower tray, panel the shower. Fit a new enclosure, new basin and new bath tap. re fit the boxing.
Also the ceiling in the kitchen had a big hole so we managed to patch it up. Really happy with the finishing.

Another training day today took place in Stafford. I've done the Grant R32 but wanted more knowledge on the advanced R290. These are much better for the environment, as the gas is used is less harmful if there is any refrigerant leak. They come with the smart controller that would basically give the home owner much more data on how the unit is performing, but with consent can give the engineer access to the performance. This allows the engineer to tweek any settings that's needed for better performance or can diagnose any issue from their own home. This allows us to fix the unit on the first visit. Really clever setup. Great set up and I was really thrilled to have made the journey this morning. Thank you

Doesn't look there's much difference. But recently, I've been carrying out warranty work on behalf of Grant UK. Today this property had reported a faulty heat pump. Grant engineer visited the property and diagnosed it as a faulty compressor. Job was raised for me to replace the unit on their behalf.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all. This year has been amazing. For a long time I was asking myself if I was brave enough to make the jump into self employment. Not often we take a 7 year old boiler out. But the main heat exchanger was rusted through. New Warmflow agentis oil boiler fitted which comes with 10 years warranty and my very own service plan.
