Swipe through if any of these sound familiar!

Most people wait until the boiler’s stopped completely before calling anyone. By then you’re paying for an emergency callout on top of the install, and you’ve had cold showers for a few days first.

The signs are usually there earlier: strange noises, bills creeping up for no reason, callouts becoming a habit, or the boiler just being old enough that parts are getting harder to source. Swipe to the third one especially, a yellow flame instead of blue isn’t a “get it looked at eventually” sign, it’s a carbon monoxide risk and worth acting on straight away.

Most people think air con is just for summer.

A modern system reverses to pump heat into the room instead of out of it, so the same unit you fit now can run your heating come winter too, often cheaper per hour than a gas boiler on the coldest days.

That’s the bit most installers won’t mention because it doesn’t sell more units. We will, because it’s the reason to book now rather than waiting until next June.

The system had years of pipework built up around it, so this wasn’t just a boiler swap, it meant reworking the pipework too to get everything running properly behind the new unit.

You’ve been keeping us busy! 🥵 Here’s a look at a handful of the air con jobs we’ve been out on recently, from single wall-mounted units to full external condenser installs on brick and render.

Bosch, Haier and LG systems all fitted properly, pipework run neat and units positioned where they’ll actually work efficiently rather than just wherever’s easiest.

If your radiators are cold at the bottom or your system’s noisier than it used to be, sludge build-up is usually the cause 😬

A powerflush pushes that debris out and gets water moving properly again. Worth doing before a new boiler goes in too, since installing onto a dirty system just shortens its life. In fact, it’s included with every install we do!

Two weeks, one downstairs, wall to wall underfloor heating going in as part of a full renovation!

It’s more disruption than a radiator swap, floors come up, pipework goes down, screed needs time to cure, but the payoff is even heat across every room and no radiators eating up wall space.

It’s worth checking now while it’s not in daily use, rather than finding out in October when you actually need it! 🥶
