Your home doesn’t have to stop at the back door.

The right decking can create a natural flow between your indoor and outdoor spaces - giving you somewhere to step outside, relax, entertain and enjoy your garden.

Designed around your home.
Built around how you live.

Because when the transition feels effortless, your garden starts to feel like another part of the house.

Inside. Outside. One space.

Sometimes it’s not just about the deck.

It’s about where you put it.

Where the evening sun lands.
Where the garden looks its best.
Where you naturally want to sit back and switch off.

A great outdoor space should be designed around the way you want to enjoy it - and sometimes that means making the most of what’s already right in front of you.

It's easy to admire a finished deck from a distance.

But get a little closer and you'll see where the real difference is made.
Clean edges.
Neat joins.
Well-finished steps.
Attention to the smallest details.

It's these finishing touches that take a deck from simply being installed to looking like a proper part of your home.

At A1 Decking, the details matter.

No two gardens are exactly the same - so why should two decks be?

The size, shape, levels, access and how you plan to use the space all influence the finished design.

At A1 Decking, we create each project around the home and the people who'll actually be using it.

From a simple platform to something completely bespoke, the goal is the same:
A deck that feels like it was always meant to be there.

All shapes, sizes and colours. Because your garden isn't like anyone else's, so why should your decking be?

Whether it's a sun-trap corner for morning coffee, a wraparound for entertaining, a low-maintenance space for the holiday home, or something bold and different entirely, we build it around your space and how you actually live in it.

20+ years doing exactly this across Gateshead and the North East. Best Deck Builder 2024. Every install backed by our 10-year guarantee.

The difference is in the details.

From the finish and texture to the colour consistency and craftsmanship, every element has been carefully considered.

Because truly premium products aren't defined by one feature.

They're defined by how everything comes together.
