ONE OF THOSE WEEKS WHERE YOU DON’T GET TIME TO FILM IT… BECAUSE YOU’RE TOO BUSY BUILDING IT.

Ampleforth is properly starting to come together now.

A lot has changed in a week. A lot of decisions made. A few curveballs dealt with. And still plenty to do.

This is the part of a project I enjoy, when months of planning finally start turning into something you can stand back and see.

Big few weeks ahead.

A good week isn’t always about the biggest changes you can see.

Sometimes it’s the work behind the scenes, getting things right, getting the right people in place and making sure the next stages are ready to go.

Plenty of progress at Ampleforth this week and a solid effort from everyone involved.

AMPLEFORTH UPDATE

Bit of a different day on site today.
Sometimes progress means taking things apart before you can start putting them back together.

More ripping out as we prepare for a new wall to be built in its place, along with working through a few of the details for the next stages.

We’ve also been looking at the area for the outdoor kitchen and how that will all come together as the project develops.

Plenty happening behind the scenes on this one now, alterations, problem solving and getting everything right before the next big stages begin.

The oak frame isn’t far away either. 👀

A lot of work going on at Ampleforth that doesn’t always show on camera.

Rectifying the existing structure, getting everything straight, plumb and properly fixed, plenty of ripping out, and a lot of back and forth with engineers and architects to make sure everything is right before we move forward.

The dwarf walls are complete and this week we start pushing on with the next stage of the build.

Plenty more to come from this one over the next couple of weeks.

Dust is something we deal with every day on site, especially cutting and routing MDF.
