For this private client project, Le Pelley supplied and installed a bespoke black polished granite fireplace, creating a bold, elegant centrepiece with a timeless finish.

The granite was precision cut and edge polished using our 5-axis CNC bridge saw, combining advanced technology with the craftsmanship and attention to detail of our skilled stonemasons.

This project is a perfect example of how modern stone fabrication and traditional expertise work hand in hand - delivering exceptional accuracy, flawless detailing, and a truly bespoke finish.

Long before mortar was introduced, dry stone walling was already shaping landscapes across the world. Built entirely through the careful placement and balance of individual stones, these structures rely on craftsmanship and precision rather than binding materials - yet many have stood strong for hundreds, even thousands, of years.

The interlocking nature of the stones allows the wall to flex naturally with ground movement and changing weather conditions, making it both a resilient and sustainable building method that continues to be used today in landscaping, restoration, and traditional construction.

At South Prospect, the interior design called for materials that reflected both luxury and long-term durability. Italian marble, alongside carefully selected limestone from Portugal and Morocco, was specified to create elegant bathroom spaces that combine natural beauty with architectural precision.

Some of the limestone slabs, finished in their natural texture, weighed up to 150 kg each - requiring careful handling, expert cutting, and precision installation to achieve a seamless final result.

For over 2,000 years, the stone arch has stood as one of architecture’s greatest engineering achievements - a design that transforms simple blocks of stone into structures capable of carrying immense weight through precision and balance alone.

From Roman bridges and aqueducts to modern architectural entrances, the arch remains a symbol of both structural strength and timeless design. Every element, from the shaping of the stones to the placement of the keystone, must be executed with absolute accuracy to ensure the structure performs as intended for generations.

🪨 Stonework in Progress at 40 Esplanade 🪨

We’re excited to be working on the installation of the new façade at 40 Esplanade, featuring the beautifully honed Cabeça Veada limestone – a light, uniform Portuguese stone with calm cream tones and fine texture.

To ensure the highest quality, we carried out a dry lay at the factory before shipping, allowing us to inspect each piece and assess the tonal variation across the façade. This proactive step means we can resolve any issues before arrival, streamlining the installation process here in Jersey.

We’re also incorporating Gascogne Beige limestone to create a standout feature panel at the building’s entrance – another elegant touch from Portugal.

Having worked with Cabeça Veada on several projects, including Horizon, we’re confident it will bring timeless sophistication to this landmark site.
