A dumpster can LOOK full from the ground…

and still have a surprising amount of room left. 👀

Brad climbs up using the built-in rebar step to actually check what’s going on inside this Dumpzilla.

There’s already a lot of debris in there.

But once you get a better view?

There’s still plenty of usable space.

Which makes the message that it “needs to be swapped” a little confusing. 😂

Sometimes the only way to know how full a dumpster really is…

is to actually look inside it.

Big container.

Big load.

Still not done yet.

A business idea is not the same thing as a business. 👏

You can have a great product.

A clever service.

A cool concept.

But first you have to answer:

**Does enough of the public actually want it?**

That’s where research comes in.

Find the demand.

Figure out how to deliver the solution consistently.

Then figure out how to keep reaching the people who need it over and over again.

And eventually, the numbers have to work.

Whether customers are paying directly or the business earns revenue another way, it needs enough income to sustain itself.

That’s when an idea starts becoming something real.

There’s always that one tool somebody swears you absolutely NEED…

and Brad is looking at this one like:

**No. No you do not.** 😂

The bigger joke here is what people mean when they say they’re a “woodworker.”

Because apparently that can mean anything from building cabinets…

to building furniture…

to standing outside messing around with a giant log for three hours. 😭

So yes, technically it’s woodworking.

Is it house building?

Not even close.

Still entertaining to watch though. 😂

This video has a very satisfying:

**“Ohhh… THAT’S why.”** moment. 😂

Brad is watching old, nasty plumbing parts get removed and keeps wondering what the actual scope is.

The cabinet isn’t changing.

The sink isn’t changing.

The surrounding setup isn’t changing.

So why tear into the drain assembly?

Then it becomes clear.

The sink wasn’t draining properly and was holding water.

Now the drain and bottom gasket replacement make a whole lot more sense.

Not every plumbing repair is about replacing the whole fixture.

Sometimes the problem is hidden in one small connection underneath it.

This is actually a pretty clever trick. 👀

Use a shop vac to create suction through the tube or opening…

feed a light string from the other side…

and let the vacuum pull it through.

From there, that string can be used to help pull wire or another line where you need it.

Pretty smart.

Brad’s only question?

In this video, it looks like they’re fishing through basically one piece of drywall. 😂

So the technique works…

but for THIS particular setup, it may be solving a problem that barely exists.

One of the most useful tools on a jobsite might also be one of the least exciting. 😂

A small dolly.

Nothing fancy.

But Brad has one very specific recommendation:

**Get the hard rubber wheels.**

Pneumatic tires might roll nicely when they’re full…

but construction sites are basically designed to make them go flat. 😭

Nails.

Debris.

Constant abuse.

Then suddenly the tool that’s supposed to make moving material easier needs air before you can even use it.

Solid rubber wheels?

No flats.

No pumping them back up.

Just grab the dolly, load it, and keep moving.

This is why you can’t just knock a giant opening into a concrete block wall and hope for the best. 👀

Above the opening, Brad shows a **pre-cast lintel** that spans the full width and bears past the opening on each side.

Then you’ve got the filled cells.

Those contain vertical rebar and concrete from top to bottom, giving the wall reinforcement at key structural points.

And up top?

The entire top course is filled solid with concrete too.

From the outside, it just looks like block.

Inside that block?

There’s a whole lot more structure doing the heavy lifting.

A ceiling fan should not be relying on drywall and good intentions. 😭😂

The support has to tie back into the framing.

If the fan location falls between two trusses, that usually means installing a metal bar between them so the fan box has solid support.

If the fan happens to land directly on a truss?

Even better.

A compact fan-rated box can attach straight to the truss and create a seriously strong mounting point.

That’s especially important when you start getting into oversized fans with long blades and a lot more weight.

Different location.

Different box.

Same rule:

**Give the fan something structural to hang from.**

A powerful reminder:

**Ability creates responsibility.**

The speaker was inspired by someone who dedicated 50 years of their life to serving others.

Not because everyone has to give 50 years.

But because that example showed what can happen when someone decides that helping people is worth showing up for.

If a person genuinely needs help…

if they’re willing and actively seeking it…

and you have the ability to assist…

then do what you can.

That doesn’t mean fixing every problem in the world.

It means not walking past the one you actually have the power to help with.

Service can inspire service.

Mesh tape wins on convenience.

Paper tape wins on strength.

That’s the easiest way to think about it. 👀

Mesh sticks right to the drywall, which makes it quick and beginner-friendly for smaller repairs.

No bedding coat required just to get the tape to stay put.

Paper tape takes a little more skill because it needs enough mud underneath to bond properly without creating bubbles.

But once you get into new drywall seams and inside corners?

Paper has the advantage.

It’s stronger.

It has a built-in crease.

It lays flatter.

And it gives you more flexibility with the type of joint compound you use.

So no, mesh tape isn’t “bad.”

It’s just better suited for a different job.
