We had a great time bringing employees and their families together for our Annual Summer Picnic & Service Awards! From good food and games to celebrating our Service Award recipients, it was a great day to recognize the people who make Nunn Construction what it is.

This year, we added a little friendly competition with our Co****le Tournament! 🏆 A big shoutout to the Kelly Family for taking home the win!

📸🏆 The results are in for Nunn Construction’s Annual Summer Photo Contest!

Each summer, we invite Nunn employees to capture the people, projects, progress, and memorable moments they see on our jobsites. This year’s entries gave us some incredible views of the work we do every day!

🥇 Best Overall Photo — Rachel Ribich at McClave PK-12 Project
Rachel took the top prize with her photo from the McClave School PK-12 project, capturing steel framing against a brilliant blue Colorado sky. It’s a striking view of the project taking shape!

👏 Honorable Mention — Ashley Trujillo at Sierra Middle School
Ashley captured a spectacular sky over heavy equipment on the jobsite. The lighting, clarity, and dramatic backdrop turned an everyday moment in the field into an incredible image.

👏 Honorable Mention — Austin McMenimen at Wilson Gulch Roadway Project
Austin’s photo, “The Biggest of Dreams Can Come from the Smallest of Ponds,” captures a unique contrast between nature and construction—a small moment from the natural world set against the people and equipment shaping the built environment.

🎉 Celebrating a Milestone at Prairie Heights Elementary!🎉

We were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the Prairie Heights Elementary Renovation & Addition—marking the completion of an exciting project that will serve students, staff, and the Hanover community for years to come.

The renovated and expanded school provides modern learning spaces and important facility improvements designed to create a safer, healthier, and more inspiring environment for students.

A project like this takes an incredible team. A special thank you to Hanover School District #28, especially the students and staff who helped make this project so meaningful; NV5.inc, the owner’s representative, the Colorado Department of Education and its BEST Grant Program, and MOA ARCHITECTURE for their partnership and dedication throughout the project.

We’re grateful to everyone who played a role in bringing this vision to life. Congratulations to the entire Hanover community on this exciting new chapter! 🎀✂️🏫

🏫 Building Safer, Better Schools in Manitou Springs

Nunn Construction is proud to be nearing completion of the Manitou Springs School District Bond projects across four schools: Manitou Springs High, Middle & Elementary Schools & Ute Pass Elementary

These improvements include updated restrooms and enhanced secured entries, helping create safer, more welcoming, and more functional learning environments for students, staff, and the Manitou Springs community.

As we approach the finish line, we're proud of the hard work and collaboration that have brought these important improvements to life.

Thank you to Manitou Springs School District and all of our project partners for trusting Nunn Construction to help build for the future of your schools!

A piece of Colorado Springs history is beginning a new chapter.

The Broadmoor has acquired the historic headquarters of El Pomar Foundation in what The Gazette describes as a “full-circle” scenario for both organizations.

✂️ Ribbon Cutting at The Classical Academy East Campus! 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate the ribbon cutting for The Classical Academy East Campus Addition!

This project creates new spaces for students, educators, and staff to learn, connect, and grow with an expanded gymnasium and classrooms to new administrative office space.

We’re proud to have been part of bringing this addition to life alongside The Classical Academy and our design partner, RTA Architects, Inc.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this project possible. We’re excited to see these new spaces serving the TCA community for years to come!

Sometimes the best way to appreciate a project is to see it from a whole new perspective.

Drone photography gives us a bird’s-eye view of the progress happening on the ground—capturing the scale, details, and big picture all at once. There’s something special about seeing a project come together from overhead.

🎓 Wrapping Up a Great Summer at Nunn!

Today, we hosted our Intern Exit Presentations, giving our summer interns the opportunity to share what they’ve learned, the projects they’ve contributed to, and the experiences they’ve gained during their time at Nunn.

We’re proud of the hard work, growth, and fresh perspectives they brought to our teams and projects throughout the summer.

Of course, we had to send them off the Nunn way — with a BBQ lunch and Josh & John's Ice Cream! 🍔🍦
