We were proud to recently partner with Turner Construction Company for a meaningful day of volunteering at Cadillac Urban Gardens on Merritt. Our team spent the day weeding, planting, and beautifying the space, helping prepare the garden to serve the community throughout the summer months ahead.

In May, General Motors recognized Ideal Contracting as a 2025 GM Supplier of the Year! This marks our team’s 20th Supplier of the Year Award from GM, a true testament to our strong collaboration over more than 20 years.

This year, we created some truly memorable moments through our team’s partnership with the Chippewa Valley Schools Construction CTE Program. From bringing in exceptional speakers across a range of industry disciplines to coordinating hands-on demonstrations, it was a year full of learning, connection, and meaningful engagement.

We’re proud to collaborate with Chippewa Valley Schools and help students gain a real-world introduction to the many opportunities in the construction industry. We look forward to continuing to build on this impact in the fall!

Dan Budnik is the Director of Preconstruction at Ideal Contracting, where he leverages decades of experience in construction and cost estimating to help build strong partnerships and pursue new opportunities.

But outside the bid room, Dan relishes his time in his workshop, trading construction plans for creativity as he handcrafts uniquely designed fishing lures. Much like the projects he helps estimate, there’s a deep sense of satisfaction in seeing something come to life, whether it’s reeling in a fish on a lure he painted himself or winning a project he helped bring together.

With over 20 years at Ideal, Dan continues to approach his work every day with the same tenacity and attention to detail as he did from the start, a true reflection of what it means to be a Pillar of Ideal.
