Earlier in the month I posted pictures of a Monarch caterpillar on my Swamp Milkweed plants...and he was gone...later I found his chrysalis while watering, yesterday I found the chrysalis empty, never seen him after that...Hope he makes the flight to Mexico...

After Wednesdays storm, checked plants in our nursery...Found this Monarch caterpillar on our Swamp Milkweed plant...Don't know where he went after that, but he had a meal off the leaves...And we had to cancel our Appreciation Party because of conditions as a result of the storms...Also if you need any branches cleared or trees trimed, we highly recommend Joshua at Black Kat Tree Care.

Last October I planted my garlic cloves...Today was harvest day...dug up the bulbs, bundled up & hung in the stable to cure & dry for 2 - 4 weeks...many large bulbs, compared to a golf ball...my granddaughter is going to be happy, she loves using garlic in meals, my neighbor will be happy also...this harvest is german hardneck garlic...after curing they will be cleaned & roots and stalks cut off...
