Homemade Pasta Noodles Private Italian dinner parties in your home with The Pasta Lady. I am a fourth generation Italian American. In our large Italian family, homemade pasta is #1.

Handmade pasta, good company, and memories around your table. - Hands-on Pasta classes. 👩🏻‍🍳 An experience not catering ⭐️ Our family takes pride in passing the pasta machine down the family tree but as our fast-paced lives progress many things take us out of the kitchen. Traditions become memories and stories of generations past and family techniques, inadvertently, become lost. I have been trained by three generations of strong women with traditional techniques to making homemade pasta noodles. My grandma patiently taught me to pay close attention to the type of flour selected, the weight of the egg, the temperature of the room, the moisture in the dough, the amount of time you handle the dough, and the most important part; the thickness of the dough. The ingredients may be the same as dried pasta, but the taste is better, and the texture is better. This time of year, the calendar seems to fill itself\! Between holiday plans, visiting family, work gatherings, and catching up with friends, finding an evening when everyone is available can be a challenge.

Our evening dates at Homemade Pasta Noodles are filling up, too...but there’s another lovely way to gather: a private luncheon with The Pasta Lady\!

We host luncheons regularly, with all the delicious food, conversation, and fun you’d enjoy in the evening—just a little earlier in the day.

A little cooking, a little lunch, a lot of connection

Gather your favorite people for a hands-on pasta class followed by lunch together\. Or simply come hungry, settle in around the table, and let me do the cooking!

A private luncheon is a wonderful way to bring together:

Friends and family visiting from out of town
Coworkers for a team gathering or business meeting
Girlfriends for a relaxed afternoon together
Clubs, guilds, and community groups
Anyone celebrating a birthday, a special occasion, or simply being together

There doesn’t have to be a big occasion. Sometimes sharing a meal is reason enough.

Let’s find a date for your group!

Email [email protected]

to plan your private luncheon class or lunch. With this busy season underway, reaching out early gives us the best chance of finding a date that works.

Until we see you for lunch, here’s a warm lunch idea for home.

Creamy Pumpkin Risotto

Pumpkin brings a gentle sweetness and beautiful autumn color to this risotto, while Parmesan and sage give it a savory finish. It’s lovely served with a simple green salad and good bread.

Serves:4 as a main course or 6 as a side
Time: About 40 minutes

- 5–6 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1½ cups Arborio rice
- 1 cup plain pumpkin purée—not pumpkin pie filling
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh sage, plus extra for garnish
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan, plus more for serving
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- A small pinch of ground nutmeg, optional

Let’s cook!

1. Warm the broth. Pour the broth into a saucepan and keep it hot over low heat.
2. Soften the onion.Heat the olive oil in a wide, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5–6 minutes, until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
3. oast the rice. Add the Arborio rice and stir for about 2 minutes, coating the grains in the oil.
4. Start adding broth. Pour in ½ cup of hot broth. Stir frequently until most of the liquid is absorbed. Continue adding broth, about ½ cup at a time, allowing each addition to mostly absorb before adding more. Keep the rice at a gentle simmer.
5. Add the pumpkin. After about 10 minutes, stir in the pumpkin purée and sage. Continue adding broth and stirring until the rice is tender with a slight bite, usually 18–25 minutes total from the first addition of broth. You may not need all the broth.
6. Finish and serve. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and Parmesan. Season with salt, pepper, and a small pinch of nutmeg, if using. Add a splash of warm broth if needed—the risotto should be creamy and gently spread on the plate. Garnish with extra Parmesan and sage, and serve immediately.

The Pasta Lady’s tip: Have everyone ready to sit down before you finish the risotto. It’s at its creamy best straight from the stove!

🇮🇹 A little taste of Siena, right here in Hendersonville!

Our sold-out Friday Night Pasta Plates dinner celebrated some of our favorite dishes from The Pasta Lady Travels’ September 2026 visit to Siena. Bringing those flavors home and sharing them around the table made this evening especially meaningful. ❤️

Our special menu featured:

🍅 Pappa al Pomodoro
Rustic Tuscan tomato and bread soup with fresh basil and extra-virgin olive oil.

🥗 Mixed Greens Salad & Artisan Italian Bread
Tender greens with a balsamic vinaigrette, alongside artisan bread and olive oil for dipping.

🍝 Pici with Pesto & Tomatoes
Thick, hand-rolled pasta tossed with basil-almond pesto and sweet grape tomatoes.

🍮 Vanilla Panna Cotta
Silky Italian cream dessert infused with vanilla—a sweet finish to our Tuscan evening.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! Food has a wonderful way of bringing us back to places we love—and letting us share a little of those places with you.

There doesn’t have to be a big occasion to make dinner feel special.

Visitors to Hendersonville are joining in, too, booking private dinners in their Airbnbs. What a lovely way to enjoy a vacation evening: settle in, gather around the table, and let The Pasta Lady take care of dinner.

There are so many ways to gather, and I’m excited to bring more of them to you: homemadepastanoodles.com (https://www.homemadepastanoodles.com)

Looking ahead, I’m excited about more local collaborations, more cozy gatherings, and more opportunities to explore through food.

Join me for local food adventures as we meet the makers, discover delicious places, and share the stories behind every bite. We have so much to discover right here in our own backyard!

We recently brought that idea to life at the Hendersonville Community Co Op, where I shared a cooking demonstration and introduced 21 guests to the Co Op and all it has to offer. Beyond cooking and tasting together, we explored ownership, the bulk department, organic produce, specialty items, and convenient premade meals.

We also talked about a misconception that deserves a second look: that shopping at the Co Op automatically means paying more. Don’t assume the produce is more expensive just because it comes from the Co Op! Compare like-for-like items, check seasonal offerings, and explore the departments you will be pleasantly surprised by the value you find.

That’s exactly what these local food adventures are about: getting curious, discovering what our neighbors have to offer, and coming home with something new to bring to the table Hendersonville Community Co-op thepastaladytravels

Sunday visits with my grandparents, Catarina “Tina” and Dominic Fazzalari, gave me so much more than a plate of pasta. They gave me a place to belong, a connection to my Italian roots, and memories I carry into my kitchen every day. ❤️

Now, as a grandmother to seven grandsons, I hope to give them that same feeling—being welcomed, fed, and loved just as they are.

Every time I gather my family around the table, a little of Grandma Tina and Grandpa Dominic’s love is there with us. 🍝
