Another Florida project is officially complete! 🎉

The Douglas Company is proud to celebrate the completion of The Cottages at Abbott Station, a $21.6 million multifamily community in Zephyrhills featuring 176 residential units across 84 cottage buildings.

Throughout construction, our team worked closely with ownership and project partners to navigate site, scheduling, and utility challenges while keeping work moving forward.

We're halfway through the fall semester, and our co-ops, Luke Lewis and Evan Wangler, have already made a great impact on Team TDC! 🍂

Over the past few months, these two have jumped right in—asking thoughtful questions, tackling new challenges, and gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside our project teams. From learning the ins and outs of project management to putting their classroom knowledge into practice, Luke and Evan have brought plenty of curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

We're grateful to have them as part of The Douglas Company family this semester and appreciate the hard work and fresh perspectives they bring to our teams every day. 💙

The Douglas Company joined project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of Silver Birch of Painesville, a new 120-unit assisted living community in Painesville, Ohio.

The approximately 90,431-square-foot, three-story project will feature dining and community spaces, fitness and wellness areas, outdoor recreation spaces, physical therapy space, and more.

We’re excited to mark this important milestone and continue our work with Vermilion and WJW Architects.

Another new addition to Team TDC! 👋 Meet Aiden Hemmert, who recently joined The Douglas Company's Toledo office as a Project Coordinator!

Aiden's path into construction was influenced by his high school soccer coach, and we're excited that his career has brought him to our team. 🏗️

Outside of work, Aiden is a big sports fan, especially when it comes to soccer and football. He's a loyal Ohio State Buckeyes and Minnesota Vikings fan, and his favorite way to spend a weekend is watching football with his dad. 🏈⚽

When he's not cheering on his favorite teams, Aiden enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and hanging out with his girlfriend's golden retriever, Bailey. His favorite travel destination so far is Jamaica, with Germany next on his bucket list! 🌴

When asked about the highlight of his year, Aiden shared that joining The Douglas Company was at the top of his list. We're glad to hear it, and we're just as excited to have him here!
