Workshop This Saturday: Promoting Pollinators & Managing Pests!

Join Green Man Gardening and River Street Flowerland this Saturday at 10:00 AM for our next Growing Together Workshop, focused on protecting your garden while supporting the beneficial insects that help it thrive.

Topics will include:
- Identifying common garden pests and damage
- Encouraging pollinators and beneficial insects
- Managing deer, rabbits, groundhogs, and other garden critters
- Recognizing and addressing common fungal and disease issues
- Using organic and environmentally responsible methods to deter pests, wildlife, and plant diseases
- Building a healthier, more resilient garden ecosystem

Just in time for Mother's Day (& Father's Day)! Was lucky enough to build some beautiful cedar raised beds for my life-long supporters on a recent trip home. A perfect space for my mom to grow herbs & flowers & my dad to expand his veggie garden (he had potatoes, carrots, onions, & okra planted less than 24 hours after the beds were done!). Blessed to be able to help strengthen their home harvest while sharing my passion with my parents!

Join us at River Street Flowerland this Saturday, April 25! We'll be setting up a resource table with information on all things raised beds:

- choosing frame materials (woods, metals, blocks and logs)
- understanding fill materials and ratios (sticks, soil, compost, mulch)
- deciding the best location for your beds
- preparing for planting this spring

Plus we'll have budget breakdowns so you can create a bed that works for all your needs.

We'll be available for questions and conversation from 10a-noon, but grab a handout anytime before 6pm.

We had an amazing time at our seed starting and garden planning workshop this past Saturday! It was great to connect with people interested in their home gardens. Thanks to everyone who came out! 🌼
