Today we ate a 7-yard load of concrete.

Forecast said rain this afternoon in Maryville. It showed up early. The truck was already on the road, past the point we could cancel.

We had two choices: pour it and hand our customer a diluted slab, or send the truck back and take the loss ourselves.

We sent it back. That one’s on us, not the customer.

This is why we move at the pace we do. Every job we run — the prep, the pour, the finish — is done by our own team. No surprises, no shortcuts. And in East Tennessee, the weather is unpredictable.

So if you’re on our waiting list, all we ask is your patience. What you’ll get in return is work we’ll stand behind for years, and neighbors who’ll vouch for us.

We love what we do. And we love working with people who understand that quality isn’t fast — and fast isn’t good.
