These beautiful edge grain cutting boards made from walnut white oak cherry and maple are almost ready to go. All that is left is the Custom engraving for each client. Stay tuned for the final results!

Here’s a look at what I’ve been working on over the past week. This renovation has involved everything from structural framing to finish work, and it’s been great to see it all come together.

Over the past week, I:

* Built a new floor system to raise the living room one level, reducing it from two steps down to one.
* Installed a new plywood subfloor.
* Installed the new LVP flooring.
* Framed a new closet to add valuable storage space.
* Cut back and rebuilt the second-story balcony so the cantilever was within code, then installed new composite decking and railings.
* Continued framing and prep work for the next phase of the renovation.

I enjoy projects like these because they’re more than just cosmetic—they involve solving structural issues, bringing homes up to code, and building things to last. It’s rewarding to see everything come together and know it’s been done the right way.

Today’s project involved installing three retractable hose reels on two very different surfaces: vinyl siding and masonry block.

Rather than mounting through siding or directly to masonry, custom mounting systems were built to provide a clean appearance and a solid foundation designed to last.

• Mounted directly to structural framing
• Custom mounting blocks fabricated and installed
• Properly sealed and weatherproofed
• Built for years of daily use
