Sherman Carter Barnhart is proud to have partnered with Warren County Public Schools to bring the new Warren Elementary School to life! Designed to accommodate approximately 850 students, this new facility provides much-needed space for a growing community while creating an inspiring environment for learning and discovery. One of the most rewarding parts of the design process is collaborating with educators and district leadership, listening to their goals, understanding their needs, and transforming their ideas into spaces that support students and teachers every day. Seeing that shared vision come to life is what makes projects like Warren Elementary so special!

Thirty years of music, memories, and mountain pride! 🎶

Today, we join the Arts Center in celebrating its 30th anniversary and three decades of bringing people together through the arts in Prestonsburg and Eastern Kentucky.

As the architects of the MAC, Sherman Carter Barnhart is proud to have helped create a place where performers take the stage, young artists discover their talents, and audiences share unforgettable experiences. From its theater to its spaces for arts education, recording, and exhibitions, the center demonstrates the lasting impact a building can have on the community it serves.

The people who fill those spaces have made the MAC what it is today. Congratulations to the staff, artists, supporters, and audiences who have brought it to life for 30 years. Here’s to the next generation of talent, inspiration, and applause!

Architecture that inspires learning, leadership, and innovation!

Proudly designed by Sherman Carter Barnhart in collaboration with Warren County Public Schools, the 180,000-square-foot IMPACT Center for Leadership & Innovation demonstrates how thoughtful architecture can transform the educational experience for 7th through 12th grade students.

As the world's first FranklinCovey Model School, the IMPACT Center brings a bold educational vision to life through innovative design. The building's thoughtful organization connects educational programs, while flexible learning environments adapt to different teaching methods. Collaborative spaces encourage students to exchange ideas, think creatively, and solve problems together.

From advanced technology labs and a hands-on makerspace to a dedicated esports arena, each space is intentionally designed to encourage exploration, foster creativity, and connect students with real-world career opportunities. More than a building, the IMPACT Center is an architectural solution that brings learning, leadership, and innovation together, preparing students for the opportunities of tomorrow.

🏆 We're proud to share that the IMPACT Center has been recognized as a 2026 Learning By Design Outstanding Project!
