Every great park starts with an idea — what if nature could be the heart of a neighborhood? 🌿 This Earth Day, we’re celebrating Lake District, a 21-acre public park nestled in the One Lake neighborhood of Fairfield, CA. Designed to draw the community outdoors, the park’s interconnecting trails, playgrounds, and lakeside café invite residents to slow down, explore, and connect — with each other and with nature. Happy World Landscape Architecture Month!
This year, alongside American Society of Landscape Architects , we are celebrating Landscape Architecture in Action and the ideas that become places supporting health, resilience, and community. In honor of this week’s prompt, Action Through Practice, we are highlighting a field trip we took to Everde Growers nursery to learn more about the plants that get installed in our projects. Learning about Everde’s operations, new plant introductions, and sharing plant pairings was a valuable experience for us as a team. Investing in our knowledge and sources of inspiration is a tool of high value to our company, and we believe it is what ultimately turns our ideas into action.
