Have you ever seen a glass door completely shattered, yet somehow still standing?

It might look like it's about to fall apart, but there's a reason the glass can remain in place even after it breaks.

We recently shared an article explaining why this happens, how different types of glass break, and what property owners should know.

Take a look:

Ever hire someone for a "quick repair" that turns into a much bigger, much more expensive mess? We've seen it happen more than once — most recently with a homeowner whose window repair violated her building's Landmark approval without anyone realizing it until the job was already done.

A lot of window problems start with the smaller working parts, not the whole window itself.

If a window will not stay open, feels hard to lift, rattles when shut, or no longer locks properly, the issue may be the balances, locks, hinges, rollers, or other hardware.

We just posted a new article explaining what these parts do and why they often cause the first problems in older NYC buildings.

Wood Window Installation- Brooklyn Heights

We recently completed a project installing Wood Windows and French Doors for a rooftop residence in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn NY.

The goal was to match the architectural character of the building while improving the performance of the existing windows. Careful attention to trim details and proportions helps new windows integrate naturally with historic structures.
