Happy Halloween from the IPS family! 🎃🧡

Last weekend, IPS teamed up with the The Rossford Historical Society to roll through the City of Rossford Halloween Parade with a float that had a little history behind it — a replica of our historic Ford Club headquarters, Edward and Carrie Ford riding up front in full costume, and the red IPS Bronco keeping everything moving.

The theme was America’s 250th, and it felt fitting. The Ford Club has stood in Rossford since 1917. IPS has called this community home since 2016. Last week was a reminder of why showing up for the place you work in matters — parade float and all.

Thank you to the City of Rossford for a great event, and Happy Halloween to our whole community! 🎃

Some people show up for their community without ever expecting recognition. Jack Miller is one of those people — which is exactly why this award means so much.

IPS is proud to celebrate Jack, a retired Boilermaker from Local 85 and a valued member of our business development team in the Lima region, on being named Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Greater Lima at their 10th Annual Day of Caring and Awards Celebration.

Jack serves on the United Way of Greater Lima's board — and according to United Way President and CEO Erin Hardesty, he was completely caught off guard when his name was called. After all his work for the community, we think that surprise says everything about who Jack is.

Congratulations, Jack. The Lima community is lucky to have you. 🏆

Not every memorable moment at IPS happens on a project. Some of the best ones happen right here at home. 🛻

Little kids stopping by to visit a parent or grandparent at the office. Familiar faces that remind you this place is more than a company — it’s a community.

Kevin J. Gray’s grandsons paid us a visit recently. And naturally, they made a beeline for the flatbed cart.

In a business landscape where family-owned companies are selling to large corporations and private equity at a rate that feels hard to keep up with, IPS is proud to still be standing as it always has — family owned, locally rooted, and committed to the people and communities that built us. Forty years in, and that’s not changing.

(For the record — keys were out of the ignition, no one was going anywhere, and a good time was had by all.) 😄

IPS is in the home stretch on one of our most complex campus infrastructure projects to date — the The University of Toledo Steam Tunnel Upgrades. 🔧

Our team has been working as prime GC on nearly 1,200 linear feet of new at-grade tunnel, carrying high-pressure steam, pressure condensate return, and chilled water beneath an active university campus — all while managing maintenance of traffic throughout construction.

In the next few weeks, the IPS team will have delivered a fully operational underground utility corridor for the University of Toledo — on an active campus and built to last. Great work by everyone involved.

Every package moving down this conveyor line depends on what's running alongside it. ⚡📦

IPS installed the cabling pathway for the full 800-foot length of a new conveyor automation system at a Northwest Ohio distribution facility. The pathway carries 480-volt power, 120-volt power, and communication cabling to every device on the line. Our own fabrication shop backed up the field crew by building the mounting brackets for the entire system.

IPS had the privilege of connecting with more than 1,000 high school students at the recent Ohio Carpenters JATC - Rossford Campus Open House — one of the region's premier events for introducing young people to careers in the skilled trades.

Our Millwright and General Contracting teams were on hand to share what a career in industrial construction actually looks like — the variety of work, the earning potential, the craft, and the culture that comes with building things that last.

Events like this one matter. The trades have a workforce challenge, and the answer starts with conversations exactly like the ones we had. We're grateful to the Ohio Carpenters' Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program for putting together such a well-organized event and for their ongoing commitment to connecting students with real career pathways.
