From learning in the field to presenting in the boardroom, our summer interns wrapped up their time at A.R. Mays Construction by presenting their experiences and accomplishments to our executive team.

We’re proud of the work they put in this summer and even prouder that a couple of our interns will be continuing their careers with A.R. Mays as full-time employees. That’s what we love about internships: creating opportunities to learn, grow, and find a place to build a career.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 !

Construction is underway on the Phase 1 Clubhouse Renovation at Arizona Country Club; a 24,000 SF transformation designed to elevate the member experience while honoring the traditions that make the Club home.

Alongside Studio V Interior A + D, the project reimagines the entry and reception, lounge areas, and the main dining space with seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A reconfigured patio brings linear fireplaces, heated umbrellas, and panoramic Camelback Mountain views.

The scope also includes modernized men's and women’s locker rooms featuring wellness and recovery amenities like hot and cold plunges, an infrared sauna, steam room, and red-light therapy.

𝗔𝗦𝗨 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

The Marshall Tempe is complete. A 325,700 SF luxury student living community rising seven stories on just 1.4 acres, with 188 units and 14,000 SF of amenity space. Delivered on schedule and in time for students to move in for the upcoming school year.

Getting here meant getting creative with logistics from day one. With almost no room to work from the ground, our team used 12 hydraulic scaffolds around the building and coordinated daily to keep every trade moving in sync. Off-hour concrete pours, tower crane assembly, and material deliveries were all sequenced with neighboring property owners to keep the site clear and the schedule on track.

The exterior was 90% fiber cement siding, a finish rarely used at this scale in Arizona. That meant over 170,000 lineal feet of aluminum trim, custom cut and installed with specialty fasteners individually painted to match. Every detail dialed in.

Brian Reed has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Preconstruction & Business Development after nearly 24 years with A.R. Mays.

Joe Funk has been promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction & Estimating and will celebrate 8 years with A.R. Mays this November.

Located in downtown , this 129-unit attainable housing community was designed for today's remote professionals. Each home incorporates dedicated workspace into the floorplan, while shared amenities like coworking lounges, conference rooms, and Zoom rooms create a true work-from-home community.

We're proud to have served as the GC on a project that's helping redefine what modern multifamily housing can be!

Our interns recently joined President Adam Mays and Executive Vice President Joe Barth for a meet the owners seminar featuring icebreakers, conversation and a Q&A session.

As the first in a series of seminars highlighting each department at A.R. Mays, it was a great opportunity for our interns to connect, ask questions, and learn from company leadership.

We're proud to highlight the completion of Brooklyn Bedding's nearly 300,000 SF manufacturing expansion in , .

This project added significant foam production capacity while allowing the existing manufacturing facility to remain fully operational throughout construction. Achieving that required detailed planning, constant communication, and close collaboration between our team, the owner, and our project partners.

✔️ 4,575 SF Tank Farm 2 structure
✔️ Site-wide infrastructure improvements

Our summer internship program is underway and this team is getting real time in the office and on active jobsites, learning how we plan, coordinate, and build from the ground up.

Starting at 3:30 AM, our team placed freight containers at Jefferson House in Peoria's Arts District, a courtyard venue bringing together local food, independent retail, live entertainment, and community events in one open-air space.

Construction is actively underway, and we're excited to deliver a place where family and friends can come together on the west side of the Valley!
