Sharing this because Philip Purdy used to be part of our team, and this is the kind of thing that could happen to anybody. π¨
He was out of town celebrating his birthday when his car caught fire. He lost the vehicle and a lot of the tools he uses every day for work. As an Army Veteran he has been spending time at the VA, he's been hospitalized twice since, for chest pains and smoke inhalation from trying to get everyone and everything out of the vehicle safely. Everyone is okay physically, but he's got a long road back to normal.
If you've never priced out HVAC tools, they're not cheap. Gauges, meters, the specialty stuff, it adds up fast, and without them a tech can't work. So this isn't just about a car. It's about getting him back to being able to do his job at all.
If you're able to help him get back on his feet, every bit matters. And if you can't give, he said that a prayer means something too.
